First Vanguard Academy Parent Information Meeting

Dear Vanguard Parents & Guardians,

We are excited to invite you to a special event where you can discover the diverse range of programs available for both parents and children. Join us for an informative session where you will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting opportunities available to support your family's growth and development. Whether you are interested in educational programs or family-focused initiatives, this event will provide you with vaulable insights and a chance to ask questions.

Texas ACE – After School Program

After school and summer programs provide supplemental assistance to help students build a foundation in reading and math and connect high school students to careers and college. Activities include mentor programs, tutoring, academic enrichment, the arts, physical activity, hands-on learning, and family engagement. These programs provide high-quality academic enrichment and other activities designed to increase students' overall academic success. The largest dedicated fund source for programs in Texas is the federally-funded 21st Century Community Learning Centers program, also called Texas Afterschool Centers on Education, or Texas ACE.

Congratulations to the Vanguard Beethoven Orchestra Double Bass Ensemble!

"The Vanguard Beethoven Orchestra Double Bass Ensemble” was selected as one of only two ensembles from across Texas to perform at the 2023 Texas Orchestra Directors Association Summer Convention in San Antonio on July 21. The selection process consisted of an application and video submission of the ensemble that were evaluated by a judging panel.
This is the first year that TODA has invited student groups to perform. The double bassists, who range from 4th - 10th grade, will play their program for teachers from across the state.
The Vanguard Orchestra program began in 2019 and is under the direction of Cristina Amorim and Adriana Rodriguez.

South Texas College Field Trip Highlights

Vanguard Academy students visited the South Texas College Technology Campus. Big thanks to Mr. Carlos A. Athletics and Fine Arts Summer Camps!!- Registration Still Open!

Vanguard Academy provides a safe, fun, and skill-based sports and Fine Arts experience for students in grades K-9th.  Join us for a five-day summer camp, June 12-16, from 8am-12pm.  Team up with our amazing coaches and teachers for the ultimate Camp experience! The deadline for register your child for the Athletics and Fine Arts Summer Camp will be Sunday, June 11th, please click this link for more details.
