Dear Van Gogh Royals Families,
We have an important reminder regarding afternoon dismissal to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
📍 1st & 3rd Grade Pickup
Only students who were previously picked up in the curve for 1st and 3rd Grade will now be picked up through Gate E – Primary Pickup.
🚨 Pk3, Pk4, Kinder Pickup
There is NO CHANGE to the pick location for Pk3, Pk4 and Kinder. Pick up continues through Jackson Rd.
🚨 4th & 5th Grade Pickup
There is NO CHANGE to the pickup location for 4th and 5th Grade students. They will continue using their current pickup procedures.
🚨Please have NAMETAGS visible as it helps place students 🚗
🚔 IMPORTANT: Please do not form pickup lines early, as this can create traffic congestion and safety concerns. Any lines or vehicles blocking traffic may be directed to move by Pharr PD, and citations may be issued if vehicles are not following traffic directions. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to make dismissal safe, organized, and efficient for everyone. 💙💛

Reminder that we have changed our traffic maps starting tomorrow Aug 17
All 1-3rd graders (those that were being picked up in the curved lane) will now be picked up on the primary side. Please enter through Jackson. Please have your car tags ready and visible.
Please advise your daycare they will enter through the second entrance from the west on Moore rd. A security guard will let them in.

Most importantly, no one can park on Moore rd to make a line, at any time.
Hi Van Gogh Elementary Parents,
I want to first thank you for a wonderful first week of school. It has been a pleasure meeting your students and I am so excited to see them continue to learn and grow.
I would like to take this time to apologize for the disruption to traffic that occurred today on Moore Rd. I was not aware that our local Police Dept was going to enforce a no-stop rule. We appreciate our local police dept and know that their service is in benefit for the safety of all of our community. I am sorry that many of you were not allowed to enter campus without notice and had to make a loop through the city to come back for pick up. I also understand that the extra police presence might have been alarming for some parents. I am deeply sorry that we were not given the opportunity to communicate that change ahead of time.
Please note that moving forward, PK3-3rd grade students will be picked up on the primary side. Nothing changes in terms of sibling placement or timing. Simply, if you were picking up your kids in the 1-3rd curved lane, you will now be entering through Jackson and exiting to Moore.
4-5th grade will remain the same. My advice to 4-5th grade is not to get in line until 3:45. You risk being cited by Pharr PD if you try to park on Moore.
Drop off stays the same in the morning.
My admin team is working on a modified map and we will send it out by Sunday afternoon.

I am sorry that many of you were not allowed to enter campus without notice and had to make a loop through the city to come back for pick up. I also understand that the extra police presence might have been alarming for some parents. I am deeply sorry that we were not given the opportunity to communicate that change ahead of time.
Please note that moving forward, PK3-3rd grade students will be picked up on the primary side. Nothing changes in terms of sibling placement or timing. Simply, if you were picking up your kids in the 1-3rd curved lane, you will now be entering through Jackson and exiting to Moore.
4-5th grade will remain the same. My advice to 4-5th grade is not to get in line until 3:45. You risk being cited by Pharr PD if you try to park on Moore.
Drop off stays the same in the morning.
My admin team is working on a modified map and we will send it out by Sunday afternoon.

Van Gogh Elementary Afternoon Pick up
HI parents, please check out the attached image for the Afternoon Pick up routes.
For families with multiple students:
If you have students in grade PK3-1st, their older siblings will come from their classrooms to the PK3-1st grade classes.
If your youngest students are in 2nd grade and up, they will travel to the pick up spot for their oldest sibling, including the secondary pick up.
Please note, early pick up in the front office stops at 2:30pm.
The gates for regular line pick up start at 2:45.
All traffic will exit to Moore Road and turn right. Per city ordinance, there is no left turn at that time of day.
Please be alert, be safe and follow the direction of staff and security. Please also have your car tag readily available.
Students must be picked up by 4:15, if not in the ACE program or another after school activity.
