Our students had a wonderful field trip yesterday as part of their GT Camp! 🐢✨ We enjoyed an educational visit to Sea Turtle Inc., where students learned about sea turtle conservation and marine life. The day ended with plenty of fun, laughter, and adventure at Urban Air. Vanguard Academy is proud to recognize Alexa “Lexie” Martinez for opening the May Board Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, Texas Pledge, and Invocation.⭐
Lexie is the daughter of Aridai and Jorge Martinez and will be an upcoming junior at Van Gogh Early College High School for the 2026–2027 school year. She has proudly attended Vanguard Academy since Pre-K and is a member of the school’s inaugural secondary class. 🎓
Throughout her journey, Lexie has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and school pride. Last year, she successfully completed a six-week Youth Police Academy, earning recognition upon graduation. 👮♀️👏 She was also recently accepted into the Dual Enrollment Criminal Justice Academy at South Texas College, continuing to pursue her passion for public service and leadership.
In addition, Lexie competed in DECA and advanced to the state-level competition, showcasing her commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence. 💼🏅
