Dear Parents, Today we conducted a shelter-in-place drill on campus for practice purposes. This was only a drill and was implemented to ensure that our students and staff are prepared and understand safety procedures. All students and staff did a great job following directions, and the drill was completed successfully. Thank you for your continued support as we prioritize the safety of everyone on our campus. Good morning Vanguard Van Gogh Parents/Guardians, We are currently experiencing a power outage affecting our campus and portions of the City of Pharr. We are closely monitoring updates from American Electric Power (AEP) for the latest information. At this time, Van Gogh Elementary and Early College High School are on HOLD status. This means all students and staff will remain in their current classrooms, and instruction will continue as normal within each classroom. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Vanguard Academy proudly joins in celebrating the many contributions of African American leaders, scholars, and innovators who continue to shape our world—from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose leadership advanced civil rights and justice; Thurgood Marshall, the first Black U.S. Supreme Court Justice; and Katherine Johnson, whose brilliance helped launch NASA’s space missions.
